Daily Devotion
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
As we begin this day, let us turn our hearts and minds to the Word of God and seek His wisdom and guidance. Today, we will reflect on the passage from Colossians 3:1-4, which says:
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." (NIV)
In this passage, the Apostle Paul reminds us of the incredible truth that as believers, we have been raised with Christ and our lives are now hidden with Him in God. This means that our identity, our purpose, and our hope are all found in Christ. Our focus should not be on the things of this world, but on the things of God.
But what does it mean to "set our hearts and minds on things above"? It means that we should strive to align our desires, our thoughts, and our actions with God's will. We should seek to live a life that is pleasing to Him and that reflects His character. We should strive for holiness and righteousness, knowing that our true identity is found in Christ.
As we go about our day today, let us remember to set our hearts and minds on things above. Let us seek God's will in all that we do, and let us strive to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Let us remember that our true identity is found in Christ, and that our hope is in His return.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all. Amen.
In His Service,

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the incredible gift of salvation that we have received through faith in Jesus Christ. We pray that you would help us to set our hearts and minds on things above, and to live a life that is pleasing to you. We ask that you would help us to strive for holiness and righteousness, and to seek your will in all that we do. May your grace and peace be with us today and always. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
