I greet you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the grace that God has bestowed upon us, enabling us to gather in His name and seek His wisdom. Today, I would like to share with you a reflection on a passage from the book of Hebrews:
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:23-25, ESV)
In this passage, we are reminded of the importance of holding fast to our hope in Christ, which is founded on His faithfulness. As we navigate the complexities of this world, it is easy to become discouraged and lose sight of the hope that anchors our souls. However, we must remember that God is faithful, and His promises are sure. He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Moreover, we are called to stir up one another to love and good works. This means that we must not only hold fast to our hope but also actively seek to encourage and build up one another in love. Our faith is not a solitary endeavor but a communal journey. We are called to be members of one body, united in Christ, and to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2).
As the Day draws near, we must be all the more diligent in our pursuit of holiness and love. Our lives should be characterized by acts of kindness, generosity, and compassion, as we strive to imitate our Lord and Savior. Let us not neglect to meet together, as is the habit of some, but let us gather regularly to worship, to pray, and to spur one another on to love and good deeds.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
