Title: The Unchanging Grace in an Ever-Changing World
Dear Beloved in Christ,
As we gather together on this day, November 23, 2025, let us remember the unchanging grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of our ever-changing world.
In 2 Corinthians 4:18, we are reminded, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." In this verse, the Apostle Paul encourages us to focus on the eternal truths of God's love and grace, rather than the fleeting circumstances of our lives.
The world around us is constantly changing, and it can be difficult to keep up with the pace of innovation and progress. But in the midst of all this change, we can take comfort in the unchanging nature of God. As James 1:17 tells us, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
Like the great reformed theologians of the past, we too can find solace and hope in the unchanging nature of God's grace. John Calvin wrote, "The grace of God is not a thing that can be comprehended by the human mind. It surpasses all understanding." And Charles Spurgeon once said, "The grace of God is not a thing that can be earned or deserved. It is a free gift, bestowed upon us by the mercy and love of God."
As we go about our day, let us remember to fix our eyes on the unseen, eternal truths of God's grace. Let us trust in His unchanging love, and rest in His unfailing mercy. And let us be grateful for the gift of His grace, which sustains us in times of change and uncertainty.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your unchanging grace. In a world that is constantly changing, help us to fix our eyes on You, the One who does not change. May we trust in Your unfailing love, and rest in Your unfailing mercy. May Your grace sustain us in times of change and uncertainty, and may we be reminded of the eternal truths of Your Word. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
