Scripture: "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever." - Isaiah 40:8
Dear Beloved,
Today, as we gather in fellowship, let us reflect on the timeless truth found in the Word of God. The world around us is constantly changing, much like the grass that withers and the flowers that fall. But, amidst this ever-changing world, we can find solace in the unchanging Word of God.
The prophet Isaiah, through divine inspiration, reminds us that the Word of God endures forever. This Word is not just a collection of words on a page, but it is the living and active Word of God (Hebrews 4:12). It is the same Word that was spoken at creation, the same Word that became flesh in Jesus Christ (John 1:14), and the same Word that is at work in us today.
As we navigate the complexities of life, we are often faced with uncertainty and change. But in the midst of these changes, we can find comfort and stability in the unchanging Word of God. It is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). It is our source of truth and wisdom, guiding us in all aspects of life.
Let us therefore, beloved, hold fast to the Word of God. Let us read it, meditate on it, and obey it. Let us not allow the changing world to sway us from the truth found in God's Word. For it is this Word that will lead us to eternal life (John 6:68).
As we close, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your eternal Word. May it be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Help us to hold fast to Your Word amidst the changing world. May Your Word dwell richly in us, guiding us in all truth and wisdom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
