Today, as we gather together in His name, let us turn our hearts and minds to the Word of God. I invite you to join me in reading Psalm 95:1-7, a beautiful passage that calls us to worship and adore our God, our Rock, and our Redeemer.
"Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand."
In this passage, we are reminded of the awesome, unmatched power of our God. He is the Creator of all things, the King above all kings, and the Rock of our salvation. He is our Shepherd, and we are His sheep, cared for and guided by His loving hand.
As we reflect on this passage, let us remember that our God is not a distant, impersonal deity. He is a God who is intimately involved in our lives, who knows us by name, and who cares for us deeply. He is a God who loves us so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and to offer us the gift of eternal life.
In the midst of our busy lives, let us take time to worship and adore our God. Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving and praise, acknowledging His greatness and His goodness. And let us remember that we are the people of His pasture, the sheep of His hand, loved and cared for by our Rock and our Redeemer.
As we close our devotion today, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word that reminds us of Your greatness and Your love. We praise You for being our Rock, our Shepherd, and our Redeemer. Help us to worship You in spirit and in truth, to come into Your presence with thanksgiving and praise, and to remember that we are the sheep of Your hand. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
