Today, as we gather together in the presence of our Heavenly Father, let us turn our hearts and minds to His unchanging Word. In a world that is constantly changing, it is comforting to know that our God and His Word remain steadfast and true.
As we read in Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." The world around us may be filled with uncertainty and turmoil, but we can find peace and assurance in the promises of God's Word.
In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, we are reminded of the inspiration and purpose of Scripture: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."
As reformed theologians, we believe in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture. We recognize that the Bible is not simply a collection of stories or moral teachings, but the very Word of God, given to us for our growth and edification.
In this ever-changing world, let us cling to the unchanging Word of God. Let us seek His wisdom and guidance as we navigate through the challenges and trials of life. And let us share the hope and truth we find in His Word with those around us.
As Charles Spurgeon once said, "The Word of God is like a lion. You don't have to defend a lion. All you have to do is let the lion loose, and the lion will defend itself."
May we be bold in proclaiming the truth of God's Word, and may we trust in His unfailing promises.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unchanging Word. In a world that is constantly changing, may we find comfort and assurance in Your promises. Help us to hold fast to Your truth, and to share it with those around us. May Your Word guide us, teach us, and equip us for every good work. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
