Title: "The Unchanging Nature of God's Love"
Dear Beloved in Christ,
As we gather today on this beautiful day, July 10, 2025, let us turn our hearts and minds to the unchanging nature of God's love. The Bible tells us in Malachi 3:6, "For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed." This verse reminds us that our God is a constant, unchanging God, and His love for us is steadfast.
In a world that is ever-changing, where we face trials and tribulations, it is comforting to know that God's love for us never wavers. In Romans 8:38-39, we read, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." This is a powerful reminder that no matter what we face, God's love is always with us.
In the works of the great reformed theologians, we see this theme of God's unchanging love echoed. John Calvin wrote, "True faith begets love, and love begets good works." This love is not a fleeting emotion, but a steadfast commitment to us, His children. Jonathan Edwards also wrote, "The greatest joy of the soul is to perceive the divine goodness, and to see God as all-sufficient." This joy comes from understanding and experiencing God's unchanging love.
Charles Spurgeon once said, "God's love is like a great river, it overflows and fills the soul." This overflowing love is not something we earn or deserve, but a gift freely given to us by God. It is this love that sustains us, gives us hope, and guides us through life.
As we go about our day, let us remember the unchanging nature of God's love. Let us strive to love others as God loves us, with a love that is patient, kind, and never-ending. Let us find comfort in His love, and let it guide us in all that we do.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unchanging love. In a world that is constantly changing, Your love remains steadfast. Help us to understand and experience Your love in a deeper way. Help us to love others as You love us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
In His Unchanging Love,
[Your Name]
