Daily Routines for Spiritual Growth in Christian Living

- Diligence and Steadfastness Christians are encouraged to be diligent in seeking God, obeying Him, and striving for perfection [2]. This includes cultivating Christian graces, guarding against defilement, and making one's calling sure [2]. Steadfastness, supported by God's power and presence, is commanded and is a characteristic of saints [6].
- Self-Denial Christ himself set an example of self-denial, which is presented as a test of devotion and necessary for following Him [5]. This involves denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, controlling appetites, and mortifying sinful desires [5].
