One key to distinguishing between the Holy Spirit and deception is understanding the nature and work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God, as evidenced by the biblical descriptions of His attributes and actions. He is eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent [3]. The Spirit's work includes guiding believers into truth, glorifying Christ, and producing fruit in the lives of believers, such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23) [5, 6].
The fruit of the Spirit is a crucial indicator of the Spirit's presence.
