God's Providence in the Midst of Trials and Suffering
God's providence, understood as His preserving and governing all things through secondary causes, extends to the natural world, animal creation, and the affairs of humanity, including individuals [4]. The Bible indicates that God exercises His providence in preserving and providing for His creatures, specifically protecting, prospering, and delivering saints [5]. Christ himself suffered persecution and voluntarily submitted to it, demonstrating patience under duress [6]. His suffering enables Him to help those who are tried [1]. Similarly, believers are called to endure sorrows, even when suffering unjustly, out of a consciousness of God [2].
