Jesus' Judgment of the Mind and Heart on Judgement Day

The question of how Jesus will judge on Judgement Day is a crucial one, and it is addressed in Scripture, particularly in Matthew 15:18-19, where Jesus says that "out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander." This passage indicates that Jesus will indeed judge the heart, for it is the source of our thoughts, words, and actions. Rather, it is the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts that transforms us and enables us to live a life pleasing to God. As a result, those who have put their faith in Christ and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them can have assurance that they will be judged not on the basis of their sinful thoughts or actions, but on the basis of the righteousness of Christ, which has been imputed to them.
