Pride and Self-Reliance in Scripture: Lessons for Humility
Pride and self-reliance are antithetical to the Christian virtues of humility and dependence on God. Scripture warns against the dangers of pride, describing it as "sin" (Proverbs 21:4) that is "hateful to God" [4].
